Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Agreement” or “Terms”) govern your use of the GreenFlag dating application (“GreenFlag”, “App”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using GreenFlag in any way, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (which will be provided separately). Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

GreenFlag: The dating app and its operator (pending formal business registration in the United States).
User/You: Any individual accessing or registering on GreenFlag.
Account: Your personal GreenFlag profile.
AI Matches: Top AI-curated matches based on your search parameters.
Explore: Broader selection matches, less precisely filtered, also AI-generated.
Likes: Indications of interest.
Match: Occurs when two users “like” each other.
Premium: Paid features, subscriptions or credits (GF Tokens).
Cooldown: Temporary restrictions (e.g., you can’t send or receive likes) after reaching activity limits.
GF Tokens: Virtual credits purchased within GreenFlag.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use GreenFlag.
By using GreenFlag, you confirm all provided information is truthful and accurate. You agree to update your info if anything changes.

3. Registration

Register with a valid email or phone number.
You must provide: Name, age, gender, who you are interested in, city, 3 short personality prompts, minimum 3 photos (with a clear face photo in the first position), and other features (e.g., personality quiz, interests, verification badge) may be offered.
You may only have one account.

4. How GreenFlag Works

4.1, AI Search & Matching

You can search for the type of person you want using natural language (e.g. “funny, likes dogs, over 6ft, in Chicago”).
Our AI analyzes your searches, prior input, and preferences to show you top on-grid matches and a separate off-grid panel for broader discovery.
Male user limits: 3 on-grid results/search; 1 allowed on-grid like/12h; 4 off-grid per 12h.
Female user limits: 6 on-grid; 3 allowed on-grid likes/12h; 5–7 off-grid per 12h.
You may refresh the off-grid panel freely. Premium features may allow you to exceed limits, save (bookmark), or rewind profiles.
Cooldown: Upon hitting daily like limits, you will be placed in cooldown (profile is hidden from new likes for 8–12 hours). Female profiles enter cooldown auto by default (toggleable); males may enable/disable it.

4.2, Messaging

You can only message those you’ve mutually matched with.
Starting new threads per day is limited (men: 3/day, women: 10/day); replying in existing threads is not limited (within guidelines).
Certain premium features may allow limited first-message prior to matches (subject to human review).

4.3, Premium Features & Payment

Premium or paid options (“GF tokens”, subscriptions) are offered inside the App.
Premium unlocks: more daily likes, rewinds, bookmarks, message boosts, visibility “shine,” and advanced filters, per our published features and pricing.
Premium purchases are final. We use Apple/Google in-app purchase or Stripe. All payments are subject to their terms—refunds, billing disputes, or cancellation must be handled through those platforms.
GF Tokens or premium benefits cannot be transferred, refunded, or redeemed for cash.

5. User Conduct Code

As a GreenFlag user, you agree to:

Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Not upload, share, or send:
- Any sexual, pornographic, graphic, discriminatory, illegal, or abusive material.
- Any content infringing others’ intellectual property.
- Other people’s private information.
Not spam, harass, or intimidate others.
Not create more than one account.
Not attempt to circumvent app limits, quotas, AI protections, or reverse-engineer the application.
Not promote other services or solicit commercial transactions.
Only upload authentic, clear photos of yourself (AI/profile verification required for badges).
Only use paid messaging or bookmark features as intended, and not for harassment or abusive conduct.

Violation can result in warnings, suspension, or permanent account ban.

6. Moderation, Reporting, and Safety

Block/report: You can block or report any user for inappropriate, suspicious, or abusive behavior via in-app controls.
Reports will be reviewed internally. Repeat offenders, bots, or serious abusers will be suspended or banned.
GreenFlag employs AI and human moderation to identify and address potential violations including spam, solicitation, or repeated abuse.
Verification: We may offer photo/video verification for your safety and that of others.

7. Responsibility and Disclaimer

In-person Meetings: We strongly recommend caution when meeting people offline. Always meet in public and let someone know. GreenFlag is not responsible or liable for anything that occurs during, before, or after any meeting between users.
Matching & Outcomes: We use AI to optimize matches, but do not guarantee results, relationships, or specific user experiences.
No Guarantee of Availability: If your area is low in users or matches, results may be limited.
Not a Marriage or Counseling Service: GreenFlag is a platform for introduction and discovery only.

8. Privacy and Data

We collect and use your data to provide and improve our service.
Your data may be retained for up to one year after deletion (or as required by law) to comply with our obligations and assist investigation of abuse.

We respect your privacy and won’t share your personal info for marketing without consent.

9. Intellectual Property

The GreenFlag app, logo, features, and content (except your contributions) belong to GreenFlag.
You may not copy, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works.
By using GreenFlag, you grant us a royalty-free license to display and process content (profile info, text, images) for matching, moderation, and recommendations, as described.

10. Termination and Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time via app settings or by emailing hello@gflag.app.
- If you delete, your profile and all visible data are removed for other users; backup/legal data is retained for up to one year, then permanently erased.
GreenFlag may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or the law.
If your account is terminated (by you or us), all unused premium benefits, matches, and tokens are permanently lost and non-refundable.

11. Disputes and Complaints

Users must first try to resolve disputes or complaints internally by contacting support at hello@gflag.app.
If you are unsatisfied, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in USA, conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
If arbitration fails, disputes may be taken to the courts of that State.
Abuse of the complaint or reporting systems may result in restriction or termination.

12. Amendments

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted in the app and are effective immediately upon posting.
Continued use of GreenFlag means you accept the new Terms.

14. General & Legal

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and GreenFlag regarding your use of the App.

By using GreenFlag, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
